How to make a win7 bootable

     Step1: Create Bootable USB Drive:
  1. Start a iso software :)
  2. Insert the USB drive you intend to boot from.
  3. Choose the menu "Tools > Create Bootable USB Drive". The "Create Bootable USB Drive" dialog will popup. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 / 8 operating system, you need confirm the UAC dialog to continue.
  4. In "Create Bootable USB Drive" dialog, click "..." button to open the iso file of Windows 7 or Windows 8.
  5. Select the correct USB drive from the "Destination USB Drive" list if multiple USB drives are connected to the computer.
  6. Choose the proper writing method. "USB-HDD" is recommended.
  7. Click "Start" button to start creating windows 7 / 8 bootable USB drive.

    Step 2: Configuring the BIOS:
You should now reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to boot from USB. Instructions for doing so wildly from system to system, but generally entail the following:
  8. Reboot the system.
  9. While booting (before Windows starts loading), get into the BIOS configuration screen by hitting something like F1, F2, Delete or Escape. Hotkey instructions are generally provided on the screen.
  10. Go to the section that contains your boot devices.
  11. With your USB drive plugged in, the USB drive should be listed. If it isn’t, your system might not support booting from USB. Assuming that it is supported (as is the case with virtually all modern hardware), promote your USB drive to the primary boot device.
  12. Exit from the BIOS configuration, saving all changes.

Step 3: Booting and setup windows 7 / Windows 8 from USB drive:
Assuming that you properly configured your BIOS and your USB drive supports booting,  Windows 7 / 8 setup should now load. Depending on the speed of your USB drive, this may take a while.
If it isn’t working, then double-check the following before making a scene:
    • Is your BIOS properly configured for booting from the USB device? (Is the USB device listed and does it have top priority?)
    • Have you correctly prepared the USB drive in step one? (Restart the procedure.)
    • Does your USB drive properly support being booted from? (Try another one!)

Backup your firefox

Just check this tutorial to backup bookmarks:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer

Manual Backup :
 One way
------------------

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and then click Exit Close 29
  2. Locate your profile folder, as explained above.
  3. Go to one level above your profile's folder, i.e. to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
  4. Right-click on your profile folder (e.g. xxxxxxxx.default), and select Copy.
  5. Right-click the backup location (e.g. a USB-stick or a blank CD-RW disc), and select Paste.

Another way
----------------------
Backing up Firefox and Thunderbird manually is as simple as copying their respective profile folders to another location. If you do that, you’ll have a full backup with all your setting and personal data saved.
An advantage of manual backup is that you don't need to have Firefox or Thunderbird functioning in order to restore your backup; it's just a case of copying the backup profiles. That's a good thing because the most common reason you want to restore is that your Firefox or Thunderbird installation is not working!
The hardest part is finding the profile folders. First up, they are not located where you would expect to find them. Secondly, they are located in different places for different versions of Windows. Thirdly, they may be assigned random file names that make them difficult to recognize.
On Windows 2000/XP machines the locations for your Firefox and Thunderbird profiles are respectively:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Profile name>\
  • C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\
On Windows 9x/Me PCs they can usually be found at:
  • C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Profile name>\
  • C:\Windows\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\ If you can't locate your profiles then check out this document for more information: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder#What_is_in_my_profile?
On my XP laptop the profiles are:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\Ian\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.ebq
  • C:\Documents and Settings\Ian\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\25ve0lz5.default
To back these up I copy the profiles to an external USB drive. It's as simple as that. I do it manually but you could also use Windows Scheduler or a backup manager to do the job automatically. Make sure, though, that Firefox and Thunderbird are not running before you back up.
