5 Primary Extensions I Use for Every Joomla Installation

I thought it would be helpful to provide a list of the Joomla extensions I feel are the very first things that need to be installed on your Joomla website. This is not necessarily a list of my favorite extensions, but what I like to call a "primary list" of the ones that you will need to have and should be installed immeditely in the administration panel.
jceJCE Editor - this will be your main editor to take the place of the default TinyMCE editor. You can download the JCE Installation Package here (which comes with both the component and plugin).

updatemanagerUpdate Manager for Joomla! - the website tends to be confusing if you are not an advanced user, so the best bet is to download it right from the Joomla! Extension Directory. It is important to keep up to date on the latest Joomla version updates, and this will help you upgrade in minutes.

Just upload your .ico file in your media manager, install and activate the plugin, and choose your file form the drop down. You can even have multiple favicons to choose from. (Two notes: one, it is not free, costs $3.00 and you can find it on Jeff Chanell's website here to download. Also, when you save the file, call it something other than favicon.ico before uploading in the media manager).

After you get your code from Google, all you need to do is plug it right in and it will automatically add the Analytics code onto every page of your Joomla website. It couldn't be easier and just takes a couple of minutes to set up.
