The Easiest Way to Add a Favicon to Your Joomla Website

It has never been easier to add a favicon to your website. If you do not change it, the default Joomla icon will remain in place and we do not want this. Typically, you would need to enter code into the index page of your website to change your favicon. The JoomFav extension does all of the work for you.
Here are the steps:

1. Head on over to Jeff Channell's website and find his JoomFav extension.  The cost is $3.00 and worth every cent. Go ahead and download and install the plugin.

2.  Upload your .ico file. The easiest way to do this is go to the drop down under Site on the top navigation bar of your Joomla Admin panel, then upload it to your images folder.

3. Go to your plugin manager and locate System - JoomFav Favicon Switcher. Activate it, choose the file you want to use under parameters (a really cool feature is that if you have more than one, you can switch it right here).

4. Refresh your website and be proud of your new favicon!
